Facebook's Whatsapp not as secure as they tell you?

Corporations tell you (the consumer) how secure their products are, first and foremost in order for you to purchase them so the corporations obtain a high ROI (Return On Investment) on the technology.

But are their products really that secure?

Do they tell you the whole story?

In the case of Samsung's new Galaxy S10's facial recognition, it can be easily bypassed with a good quality mugshot.

But Samsung did not tell you this, the 'researchers' or techies did.

SURELY the boffins at Samsung did the same test, but they would have swept that one under the lino.

So what's Facebook not telling you about Whatsapp?

Briefly:-

That it can be hacked by Cellebrite, as stated in their documentation.

Government players will always downplay how easily hackable software/hardware is, in order to lull the serfs into a false sense of security.

Should you really trust Mark Zuckerberg given the Cambridge Analytica scandal?

We do not recommend the use of Whatsapp, for allegedly 'secure' communication.
