Australian Governor Generals from 1982 - 2003 - No Order

A letter has been sent to the Privy Council Office in London in September 2003 asking for confirmation of Orders regarding the appointment of the following Governor Generals of Australia;


Sir Ninian Stephens (1982 - 1989)
William Hayden ( 1989 - 1996)
Sir William Deane (1996 - 2001)
Dr. Peter Hollingworth (2001 - 2003)


The response given from the Privy Council Office was that there was no such Order for the above appointments.
