There are many sides to the speed/red light camera debate that get each side of the argument very
hot under the collar. One thing is for sure they are a very necessary (and
budgeted) revenue collection for the
authorities.
In recent times the
New South Wales government has conceded that their effectiveness is dubious, so
over 30 cameras have been shut down.
Not so lucky for the police (Nanny) state of Victoria.
A Melbourne radio station has a program called the Rumour
File, which the general public are invited to put forward what they heard, and
once it has been verified, prizes are offered.
On the way to Melbourne airport, from freeway speeds of
100km/h (62mph) the speed limit eventually slows to 50km/h (31mph) before an
intersection mined with a speed/red light camera
.
It was discovered that at Melbourne Airport, the speed/red
light camera, was set to 40km/h instead of the road prescribed speed of 50km/h.
The government is fully aware of the blind acceptance of the
masses lack of questioning of authority, with the blind acceptance of (fraudulent)
traffic infringement notices.
The speed camera was fraudulently set to 40km/h by the
authorities, whereas the indicated maximum road speed read 50km/h.
Naturally the back pedaling of the authorities indicate
that a ‘bungle’ or ‘technical’ error was to blame.
In real persons speak the word 'bungle' means fraud carried out by authority, which will go unpunished.
In any event, all so called speeding fines must be
cancelled, with the correct amount returned to the perpetrators, together with
interest, as if no interest is paid, that is considered as theft, a criminal
offence.
Another exposed fraud carried out by authorities.
