Previously, i.e. prior to the lock ups and curfews, in the police state of Victoria, helicopters operated by Victoria Police, were visible to the general public via flightradar24.com.
The helicopters POL31 & POL32 were most visible.
In many instances Victoria Police would turn off the transponder, where there would be either a ‘no callsign’ message on flightradar.com, or even no appearance of the helicopter at all, even though it was physically in the air.
A few weeks ago a grey coloured AgustaWestland AW139 helicopter hit the air, with no callsign.
It also appeared many times in the air but not on flightradar.com
At one point in time for a split second it did appear on flightradar.com, with the following specifications:
It is operated by Victoria Police with the registration VH-PVR.
When the 9pm curfew occurred in Melbourne, the helicopter could be in the air by 8:30pm and under the cover of darkness it would also not be visible on flightradar.com.
Victoria Police have also operated their helicopters without the position and anti-collision lights being on, i.e. in full stealth mode.
That’s life in a real police state.
