Clive Palmer's candidates struggle to answer basic political questions

OH dear. Fear for your democracy, Australia. Fear for your democracy.

You might think the two major parties are hopeless, but the Labor party and the Liberals have got nothing on Clive Palmer's Palmer United Party.

We've just spent the morning quizzing a random selection of Palmer candidates on some pretty basic political stuff. The sort of stuff you learn on a Year 6 excursion to Canberra. The sort of stuff you'd really need to know if you found yourself representing the people of Australia.

Knowledge fail.

The first two Palmer United Party candidates we rang couldn't name the year Australia became federated. (For the record, it was 1901.)

Not one of the five could define the key term "the separation of powers". (In essence, it refers to the independence of the legislature, the executive and the judiciary in the Australian constitution. Boiled right down, it's what keeps judges independent.)

And only two of the five Palmer candidates could name our head of state. (That'd be Queen Elizabeth)
Sigh.

Clive Palmer has installed candidates in each of the 150 lower house seats in Australia, as well as the senate in each state.

The candidates we spoke to were all unfailingly polite, enthusiastic and were great sports to participate in our survey on the last day of a hectic campaign. We thank them for their time.

All the same, we can't help thinking that if we were going for a job as a miner, we'd learn a little about where to dig first.

Just sayin'.

WE SPOKE TO:

Chandy Huynh: A small business owner running for the seat of Port Adelaide, Chandy pulled over while driving and called us back, which we thought was very nice

Barry Michael: the former world champion boxer who is top of the PUP senate ticket, but who didn't box clever when talking to us. In fact. He opted out after one question.

Wayne Slattery: A former farrier (horse-shoer), the number one PUP candidate on the ACT senate ticket is currently the CEO of a charitable organisation, The Good Samaritans.

Marti Zucco: A restaurateur and the longest-serving alderman on Hobart council, Marti is the PUP candidate for the Tassie seat of Franklin

Jodie Wootton: The owner of a virtual bookkeeping business, Jodie's running for the high-profile western Sydney seat of Greenway (home of Jaymes Diaz)

OUR Q&A

What year did Australia become federated?

CHANDY: I wouldn't know.
BARRY: Oh mate, y'know, Christ, can we talk about current politics? Let me think now, I don't know the actual year to be honest [AND THAT'S THE ONLY ONE HE ANSWERED BEFORE HANGING UP.]
WAYNE: 1901
MARTI: 1901
JODIE: 1901

What is the separation of powers?
CHANDY: OK well I did learn that as a subject but I couldn't give you a definition.
WAYNE: The upper house and lower house.
MARTI: Got me on that one, sorry
JODIE: The separation between the Senate and the House Of Reps
Who is Australia's head of state?
CHANDY: Queen Elizabeth
WAYNE: The Queen
MARTI: What's her name… ummmm… Quentin Bryce!
JODIE: The Governor General

How many seats are there in the House of Reps?
CHANDY: 150
WAYNE: 150
MARTI: There are five in Tasmania but I couldn't tell you nationally.
JODIE: 150

Coat of arms question: Who would win a fight between an emu and a kangaroo?
Never underestimate an emu. That's our advice.
Never underestimate an emu. That’s our advice. Source: News Limited
CHANDY: Well I don't think that's a valid question. I don't see they can fight cos one is high and the other is low so how are they going to fight each other?
WAYNE: Well that depends entirely on whether they both stand up or one nicks off. If they both fight the kangaroo would win, but if the emu nicked off it would win.
MARTI: I'd give it to the kangaroo, it's more of a symbol of Australia than an emu is.
JODIE: I reckon the emu might win because their talons are really strong and they could peck down on a kangaroo.
If elected, what's the first thing you'd do?
CHANDY: Like everybody else I believe I'll be celebrating with a bottle of wine and with everybody who's supported me
WAYNE: We'd fight for the policies of the Palmer party that have been released. We'd fight to slash red tape in business, for the $70bn worth of stimulus into the country's economy, for the pension increase, to reduce income taxes.
MARTI: I would endeavour to put legislation through parliament to get politicians to be more honest and upfront.
JODIE: More police for Greenway
Sum up Clive Palmer in one word, please
CHANDY: Inspirational
WAYNE: Genius
MARTI: Passionate
JODIE: Charismatic

These are the sort of morons in politics, as they are put there for a purpose, to be stupid enough to be subservient.

Australia is truly a backwards country.

Skaf gang rapist Mohamed Sanoussi's parole revoked

A GANG rapist told yesterday he would be released from jail has today had his parole revoked after it emerged his brothers had been charged over a bashing.

Skaf gang member Mohamed Sanoussi, 29, was yesterday granted release from jail where he was serving time for a series of gang rapes in 2000. Officials believed he was a changed man.

But the State Parole Authority (SPA) said today it had revoked Sanoussi's parole after it emerged his two brothers, a cousin and a friend had been arrested.

It said his post-release accommodation would be unsuitable because two of the men in question lived there.
The SPA said it had received submissions from Corrective Services NSW recommending the parole order be revoked.

“The authority agreed with the CSNSW submission that the previously approved accommodation was not suitable in light of the new information,” the SPA said in a statement.

Sanoussi has served 13 years of a 16-year sentence for the rapes of several girls in 2000, when he was 16.
Sanoussi had been granted parole under strict conditions, including a ban on him associating with the Brothers For Life gang.

Parole had been opposed by police, who claimed members of the gang had been meeting at Sanoussi's family home.

Today it emerged his brothers Ahmed Sanoussi, 30, and Mahmoud Sanoussi, 28, had been charged with bashing a cleaner at Revesby in Sydney's southwest.

His cousin Muhammad Sanoussi, 29, and another man, 31-year-old Ar'med Bre'aery, were also charged.

Initially the 'system' let him go.

The Australian 'legal system' works like a business, and there is no duty of care to the community at large by the Masonic judges.

Australia's politicians and law makers (deliberately) let this sort of trash into the country, in order to terrorise the community at large.

Contest ALL fines

My name is Stan. I am a retired Sergeant of Police in Victoria for 14 years. I was also a police prosecutor at times, so I know what I am talking about. I spent half my life in Magistrates Court during my time in the Force. I was only ever a very fair copper, and I am proud of my time in the job, looking after the interests of Victorians, often to the detriment of my family and my health.

I never booked any driver for a trifling offence “ever”. People committing trifling offences commonly used to get a warning and a licence / vehicle check. It had to be serious before I booked anyone.

I am so annoyed at what is happening these days, in what I call “Indiscriminate revenue gathering” It is absolutely disgusting. The government and the Police Force need to hang their heads in shame. If you did a survey of current serving members of the police forces in this country, you would be hard pushed to find many who disagree with me.

I know how the legal system works, and I know how to beat the system. This is how to do it, and if about 10% of all drivers booked follow my specific instructions, then the entire system will crash and become unworkable to the extent, that the government will have no choice but to stop issuing fines for every type of traffic offence. The whole lot of them. Seriously.

I do not feel guilty about coming out with this information, as I think it’s about time someone stood up for hard working, civil minded, law abiding taxpayers in this country, who are being screwed.
This is very simple and very basic. The idea is to clog up the system in the traffic camera office and the courts by drivers exercising their rights to remain innocent until proven guilty.

SIMPLE BASIC LEGAL STEPS TO FOLLOW…………….

1. Do not accept the alleged offence. There are numerous valid reasons to dispute every single alleged offence. Often the charges are incorrect or the evidence is illegally or incorrectly gathered.

2. Challenge it, tell them that you are going to defend the matter. Make them earn their miserable $150 or $200 or whatever. They have to prepare evidence and witnesses. Just the wages for the camera operator or the Policeman on the day of the court, will be more than the actual fine. You are also taking a camera operator or a member of the Police Force off the street for the day. But it won’t get to that point…..read on….

3. If a court date is ever set, and it does not suit you, do not accept it, ask for a delay to a time and place that suits you.

4. When they re set the date, delay it as often as possible. keep pleading not guilty all through the process. You have every right to be sick, or go for an adjournment if the day does not suit for any legitimate reason. For example you may have pressing family or work commitments which prevent you from attending a particular court on a particular day.

5. If it ever actually gets to court, (which is unlikely if everyone does this) and if you are unwell that day, ring the court in the morning and tell them that you cannot make it as you are sick. The camera operator, and a police prosecutor will already be at court, and will be greatly inconvenienced, by having to come back another day. The whole time this is going on, the amount of paperwork involved at the traffic camera office is huge. Several staff are involved, and it rapidly becomes very costly, probably running into thousands.

…..with me so far…..keep reading…….

6. The court system is then placed under such a massive load by people who wanted “their day in court” that it simply will not be able to cope unless they open up about another 50 magistrates courts, and this is obviously going to cost the government a lot more than any revenue raised. If all the above fails, which is highly unlikely….and you actually go to court and get convicted……you have a right of appeal. Make sure you appeal the conviction. You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to see what happens. They are not going to spend millions chasing hundreds.

7. Tell everyone you know to challenge their alleged offences, and the entire system will crash within a few weeks.

8. Please pass this on. AND ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT YOU ARE INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY AND THAT THERE IS A VERY HIGH PROBABILITY THAT THE EVIDENCE USED AGAINST YOU IS WRONG. YOU HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO CHALLENGE ANY ALLEGED OFFENCE. THIS IS WHY COURTS EXIST….SO USE THEM……A LOT.

Regards,
Stan

HAVE YOU REALLY GOT A LAWFULLY BINDING CONTRACT WITH THE ABOVE ENTITIES?

These are the secrets that the corporate media are NOT prepared to expose, one of the largest frauds in the country against the people of the nation, which the legal profession is FULLY AWARE OF, and ripping of the masses.

Commuters charged wrong myki ticket prices in driver mix-up

THOUSANDS of bus commuters are being charged the wrong fares in the latest snag for the $1.5 billion myki system.

The Herald Sun can reveal passengers are being overcharged and undercharged at least 105 times a month, with Public Transport Victoria laying the blame on bus drivers.

The system relies on bus drivers correctly entering information about their route before every journey so myki knows which fare is appropriate. But when a driver fails to update the information or enters the incorrect route, the wrong charge will be deducted.

Barrister Bill Rimmer said he noticed he was being charged different fares for the same trip from Collingwood to the city a couple of months ago and contacted Public Transport Victoria.

"Sometimes I win, sometimes I lose and sometimes we come out square," Mr Rimmer said.

"It is completely serendipitous when I get on the bus."

The Public Transport Users Association said it was the latest example of bus passengers being charged the wrong fares.

Mr Rimmer said it was ridiculous the onus was on customers to notice they had been incorrectly charged and contact PTV.

"Quite often, I have got the benefit of this stuff-up. I haven't sat down and done the homework to see if I am in front but it seems a bit ridiculous that I should even have to," Mr Rimmer said.

"They should find out every time people have been overcharged and give them a refund."

PTV said of the 1.5 million trips taken on Melbourne's buses last month, 0.007 per cent of passengers were overcharged. It did not say how many were undercharged.

But PTUA president Tony Morton said myki should be working. "We were also being told these problems would be fixed once the driver consoles were installed and it appears they haven't," Dr Morton said.

PTV spokesman Adrian Darwent said Mr Rimmer was incorrectly charged because of human error, with the driver entering the wrong route data into the console.

He said incorrect charging should be eliminated if the correct route and shift data was entered. "Any customer who believes they may have paid more for their fare than required can review their travel charges online if they have a registered myki, or contact 1800 800 007 and PTV staff can assist," Mr Darwent said.

"All instances where it has been shown that customers have been overcharged have been reimbursed."

Bus commuters were the slowest to take up the smartcard in the lead-up to myki becoming the only public transport ticketing on December 29.

Bus passengers travelling between zones were overcharged at times when Metcard and myki were both operating.

Public transport bosses said the problem happened because myki equipment was only partially installed and sometimes struggled to pick up a bus's location.

Unfortunately, fraud committed by corporations is (deliberately?) labeled by the corporate media, as a 'mix-up' or 'glitch' or 'computing error'.

Any true fraud committed against the masses does not see court time.

The cases that do go to court are the ones the corporate media are allowed to report on, and in any event, the costs are recovered by the corporation many time over at a later date

Australian courts are businesses that work for the benefit of the corporation (Australia) with exclusive Anglo-Masonic links.

Myki was brought in to monitor the movements of the masses by the 'authorities'.

Let's see how the Anglo-Masonic brotherhood deals with this matter.

What the general populous is not aware of is that the brotherhood protects its own, especially when it comes to the law.

The corporate police are literally 'untouchable'.

The copper should be named, just like the plebs are

Cops of this calibre are a danger to the general populous, and should be removed from duty.

US cyber attacks 'targeted Russia, China, Iran and North Korea', according to Washington Post

US spy services conducted 231 "offensive cyber operations" in 2011, mostly targeting Iran, Russia, China and North Korea, the Washington Post reports.

The revelation is based on a classified intelligence budget provided to the paper by fugitive leaker Edward Snowden, as well as on interviews with former US officials.

The Post also reported that, under a $US652 million ($735.1 million) project code-named "GENIE", US specialists hack foreign computer networks to secretly put them under American control.

This involves placing "covert implants" in computers, routers and firewalls, it said, adding that by year's end "GENIE" is projected to control at least 85,000 "malware" plug-ins in machines around the globe.

That compares to just over 21,200 in 2008, the Post reported, citing the intelligence budget.

"The documents provided by Snowden and interviews with US officials describe a campaign of computer intrusions that is far broader and more aggressive than previously understood," the daily said.

Of the 231 "offensive operations" conducted in 2011, nearly 75 per cent were against top-priority targets that the Post, citing former officials, said included "adversaries such as Iran, Russia, China and North Korea and activities such as nuclear non-proliferation."

The paper said US intelligence services make "routine use" of government-constructed malware around the globe that "differs little in function from the 'advanced persistent threats' that US officials attribute to China."

However, while an unnamed National Security Agency spokesman confirmed to the Post that the Defense Department does engage in computer network exploitation, the paper also quoted him as saying that, unlike China, "the department does not engage in economic espionage in any domain, including cyber."

Snowden, a former US National Security Agency contractor, was granted temporary asylum in Russia on August 1.

He is wanted by Washington on espionage charges linked to media disclosures about US surveillance programs.

Apparently, from what the corporations tell us, hacking is illegal.

Since now the United States of America, has been involved in hacking, the people should now be arrested, prosecuted and jailed.

In reality this will never happen.

Refugee was jailed in Queensland, granted visa to stay, then strikes in Victoria

EXCLUSIVE: A REFUGEE who was jailed for sexually assaulting two women, raped a Melbourne woman after being given a visa to stay here.

Federal Immigration Minister Tony Burke has refused to be drawn on why Alfons Pirimapun's visa was not cancelled after he was convicted of the earlier offending.

But victims of the West Papuan refugee have demanded the Government explain why the serial offender was allowed to stay despite his shocking crimes.

Pirimapun, 32, was jailed for three years in 2009 for sexually assaulting two women in far north Queensland.
It is believed that after serving an 18-month jail term, Pirimapun was released on parole, granted a visa and relocated to Victoria.

He struck here, shortly after completing his parole, raping a woman in almost identical circumstances to his earlier sexual assaults.

Pirimapun's Melbourne victim woke to find him in her bed on Melbourne Cup Day last year.

He had watched the woman in her 20s through her open bedroom window for about 20 minutes before sneaking into the home.

After admitting the rape, Pirimapun changed his plea, but was found guilty by a County Court jury.

One of his Queensland victims told the Herald Sun she felt ill when she learned he had struck again.

"Kate" said she had been told by government officials that Pirimapun had been deported from Australia.

"For the last four years, I was of the impression he had been sent home," she said.

"For the police to ring up and say he's just raped a girl down there nearly knocked me off my seat."

Kate said she was attacked in almost identical circumstances as Pirimapun's Melbourne victim.

He went into her room and fondled her while she was asleep next to her partner.

"That was the first night, then he came back two times later," she said.

"We tried booby trapping the house and everything."

Mr Burke said he expected a briefing from the department on options to cancel the visa once criminal proceedings had concluded.

But Kate said the Government should be giving her and Pirimapun's two other victims answers.

"I'm not disappointed, I'm disgusted. How many bad things do people have to do to be taught a lesson nowadays?" she said.

"It's disgusting that the Government and immigration have allowed this to happen again.

"There's no consequences for anyone's actions. They need to show people who come here it is a privilege to come here. If you choose to disregard that privilege and rape people in Australia, you don't deserve to be here."

Pirimapun will face the County Court on Friday for a pre-sentence hearing.

These are NOT isolated incidences where 'refugees' rape women.

The government or 'authorities' do not care if criminals are brought into the country, as the government functions as (and is ) a business.

Tens of thousands of dollars are exchanged when refugees are brought in.

From visa applications to fraudulent educational courses, it's BIG business, and there is no sign of the government letting that go.

Many refugees also burn their personal paperwork in order to establish new identities in order to commit crimes.

Mc Donald's Junk Food is really JUNK FOOD

In the corporate world of fatty junk food there are few industry heavy weights (pun intended) that are above the rest.

In Australia, there is little doubt that McDonald's reigns supreme.

As long as there is canon fodder, the low socio economic masses, and simply the uneducated herd populous, companies like McDonald's will continue to make profits.

Under the simple fact that the 'food' supplied to the masses is detrimental to them, McDonald's should be shut down from an O.H & S (Occupational Health and Safety) perspective, as is the case in many other industries.

Incidentally, the Australian government sells water to McDonald's for $1.40 per 1,000,000 litres.

Jamie Oliver shows how much junk is really in the 'food' that McDonald's serves to the canon fodder.

Hamburger chef Jamie Oliver has just won a battle against one of the largest fast food chains in the world. After Oliver showed how McDonald’s hamburgers are made, the franchise announced it will change its recipe.

According to Oliver, the fatty parts of beef are “washed” in ammonium hydroxide and used in the filling of the burger. Before this process, according to the presenter, the food is deemed unfit for human consumption.

According to the chef and presenter, Jamie Oliver, who has undertaken a war against the fast food industry: “Basically, we’re taking a product that would be sold in the cheapest way for dogs, and after this process, is being given to human beings.”

Besides the low quality of the meat, the ammonium hydroxide is harmful to health. Oliver calls it “the pink slime process.”

“Why would any sensible human being put meat filled with ammonia in the mouths of their children?” asked the chef, who wages a war against the fast food industry.

In one of his initiatives, Oliver demonstrates to children how nuggets are made. After selecting the best parts of the chicken, the remains (fat, skin and internal organs) are processed for these fried foods.

The company, Arcos Dorados, the franchise manager in Latin America, said such a procedure is not practiced in the region. The same applies to the product in Ireland and the UK, where they use meat from local suppliers.

In the United States, Burger King and Taco Bell had already abandoned the use of ammonia in their products. The food industry uses ammonium hydroxide as an anti-microbial agent in meats, which has allowed McDonald’s to use otherwise “inedible meat.”

Even more disturbing is that because ammonium hydroxide is considered part of the “component in a production procedure” by the USDA, consumers may not know when the chemical is in their food.

On the official website of McDonald’s, the company claims that their meat is cheap because, while serving many people every day, they are able to buy from their suppliers at a lower price, and offer the best quality products.

In addition, the franchise denied that the decision to change the recipe is related to Jamie Oliver’s campaign. On the site, McDonald’s has admitted that they have abandoned the beef filler from its burger patties.

Megaupload founder Kim Dotcom rages against New Zealand police decision not to prosecute GCSB

MEGAUPLOAD founder Kim Dotcom has accused New Zealand police of selectively applying the law after they opted not to prosecute intelligence officials who illegally spied on him.

Police reviewed the actions of the Government Communications Security Bureau (GCSB) after it was revealed last year that the agency unlawfully spied on Dotcom before his arrest for alleged online piracy in January 2012.

They said yesterday that the investigation had found GCSB staff illegally intercepted an unspecified communication from Dotcom in breach of the Crimes Act.

However, police said they would not prosecute because they could not prove there was a deliberate intent by the intelligence officers to break the law.

Dotcom dismissed the argument and said he never intended for copyright material to be exchanged on his Megaupload file-sharing site but he was still facing charges of online piracy.

"One law for them, another for us,'' he tweeted. "Where was my 'criminal intent' when some Megaupload users shared copyright infringing material?''

He said he was not surprised at the police's refusal to prosecute.

"This decision smells like conflict of interest and cover-up,'' he told TVNZ.

"I didn't expect anything but a whitewash. It's the police investigating the police.''

Dotcom is a German national but has New Zealand residency, meaning he should have been off-limits to the GCSB under laws banning the agency from spying on locals.

Prime Minister John Key last year acknowledged the spy agency had overstepped its limits and issued a public apology to Dotcom, who is free on bail and fighting extradition to the United States.

Key also introduced legislation allowing the GCSB to spy on residents and citizens for the first time, which passed through parliament earlier this month.

He said that the police investigation showed the GCSB had made a simple mistake that did not warrant prosecution.

The opposition Labour Party said the decision raised doubts over whether government agencies would be held to account if they breached surveillance laws.

"How can the public have confidence their privacy will be respected if there are no consequences when the GCSB breaks the law?'' deputy leader Grant Robertson said.

The US Justice Department and FBI allege Dotcom's Megaupload sites netted more than $US175 million ($195 million) in criminal proceeds and cost copyright owners more than $US500 million by offering pirated copies of movies, TV shows and other content.

Dotcom, who plans to sue the police and GCSB for damages, argues that Megaupload simply offered a data storage service and was not responsible for content that users placed there.

He launched a new service called Mega earlier this year.

Laws are created by corporations and enforced by the 'police force'.

The police literally have NO AUTHORITY to incarcerate Kim Dotcom, but still he is held against his will.

In Australia companies defraud the populous of  billions annually, but there is no one incarcerated for this.

The police factually work for corporations.

The GCSB should now stand trial for their criminal act.
