The French data regulator fines Google and Facebook a total of $238 million

Google and Meta, formerly known as Facebook, must now pay a $238 million combined fine to France (via Engadget). CNIL, France's data regulator, fined both companies because they violated the EU's privacy rules. Both tech giants have made it easier for users to accept cookies on their websites, but they have not made it as simple for users to reject the tracking cookies.

CNIL stated that the sites: facebook.com, google.fr, and youtube.com offer immediate acceptance for tracking cookies only by tapping a button. However, these websites don't offer a similar button for rejecting the cookies. Instead, they made it more difficult for users to refuse to be tracked by the websites.

Making it easier to accept cookies than to refuse them, according to the CNIL's restricted committee, affects the user's freedom of consent. When a user visits a website, they want to find what they're looking for as quickly as possible. By making the acceptance of the cookies easier than the refusal, Google and Meta influence the choice of the user in favor of consent.

CNIL fined Google €150 million ($170 million) and Meta €60 million ($68 million). In addition to the fines, CNIL mandated that Google and Meta provide a way for French users to reject tracking cookies as easily as they would accept them. Both companies were given three months to comply with the mandate. If they do not comply with the order, both companies will have to pay 100 000 euros ($113 000) per day as a penalty.

In a statement, Google told Politico, "People trust us to respect their right to privacy and keep them safe. We understand our responsibility to protect that trust and are committing to further changes and active work with the CNIL in light of this decision under the ePrivacy Directive."

Meta also made a statement according to the CNIL's decision, saying, "We are reviewing the authority's decision and remain committed to working with relevant authorities. Our cookie consent controls provide people with greater control over their data, including a new settings menu on Facebook and Instagram where people can revisit and manage their decisions at any time, and we continue to develop and improve these controls."

The CNIL, France's National Commission on Informatics and Liberty, is in charge of ensuring that the data privacy law is followed in the use of personal data in France.

Under/false reporting is common when it comes to statistics with regards to the current global situation.

Quite simply put Australia's authorities have been caught out falsifying the figures with regards to deaths, adverse effects and other statistics.

The real figure would be close to ten times more.

If you are participating in the injection the governments are telling you to, then you are participating in ".. the largest clinical trial, the largest global vaccination trial ever" as stated by Australia's Health Minister Mr. Greg Hunt.

Victorians incarcerated for not taking booster shot?

Is this even legal, or let alone 'constitutional'?

Let's look at what the Herald Sun published:

The figures of the 21^st of December 2021

New cases; 1,245, In hospital:392, Active ICU:73, On ventilation:43.

Where the percentage of those:

• in hospital compared to new cases is: 31.4%,

• Active ICU compared to new cases: 5.8%,

• On ventilation compared to new cases: 3.4%

The figures of the 3^rd of Jan 2022

New cases; 8,573, In hospital:491, Active ICU:56, On ventilation:24

Where the percentage of those:

• in hospital compared to new cases is: 5%,

• Active ICU compared to new cases: 0.6%,

• On ventilation compared to new cases: 0.2%

So, even though the (alleged) case numbers went up 6.8 times higher, the hospitalisation went down from 31.4% to 5%.

The alleged ICU cases went down from 5.8% to 0.6% or one tenth of that in December.

Also the people allegedly on ventilation (from the disease?) went down from 3.4% to 0.2%.

By rights then, using the same percentage figures from 21 Dec, then should be for:

Hospitalisation: 2692, Active ICU:497 and on ventilation: 291.

but they are not, they're nearly one tenth of all the figures except for those in hospital, where it's not far from one fifth.

So is the media telling you to rejoice?

Is the government telling you that 'we' are winning?

Nope.

Medical apartheid - Australians denied medical treatment!

What's rife in Australia at the moment is something that the mainstream media is deliberately not reporting on, that being medical apartheid.

State leaders, in particular the Victorian premier Daniel Andrews, mentioned that you can only participate in the 'va__ed economy', meaning you can only participate in the economy if you've succumbed to a particular medical procedure.

From news articles the people of the world may think that Australia has gone back to 'normal' but that is far from the truth and that will never be the case.

At the moment the people that you see in coffee shops, enjoying a beer outdoors at their favourite pub or sitting outside in front of a restaurant on any famous dining strip or enjoying music at a club is only for those who can prove (with a certificate) that they have undergone a particular medical procedure.

This is no better than Germany of the 1930s.

Yet people accept this.

But, they're the ones creating the 'cases', where that topic is for another post.

What's worse is that people or rather those who have not participated in the “largest clinical trial”* cannot receive health care, e.g. operations that are life saving e.g. cancer treatments or just plain and simple operations for a better quality of life, like a knee reconstruction or treatment after bones have been broken.

This denial of treatment falls under the banner of criminal negligence.

And what are the victims of the medical profession's criminal negligence doing?

Are they taking these matters to court?

Are they 'documenting' this on social media so that the mainstream media cannot hide under the “we were not aware of these things happening” banner?

All this is going on, yet the mainstream media is silent on this, but they focus your attention on some useless 'influencer' wearing a skimpy beach outfit.

Why, because they've been silenced with government (taxpayers) payments in the form of tax concessions.

They are told to follow the official government narrative, a narrative that lines the pockets of multinational corporations with taxpayer funding.

MANY of the alleged 90% were forced into a particular medical procedure, irrespective of what their 'consent' form states.

They've been threatened with job loss, their children not participating in school events and a plethora of other nonsensical excuses. 

Make no mistake about it, according to the official figures the 'minority' in Australia, approx 9% now, those who have not participated in the world's “largest clinical trial” are treated like outcasts, vermin, just like the 'yellow stars', the religious minority in the 30's

That's the reality of how these people are treated by the authorities in Australia.

eSIM, A new way to hack your data, Aussie family cheated of live savings

Phone manufacturers need you to purchase their newest wares in order to boost sales that pay for R&D (research and development) which brings in billion dollar fortunes for the corporations.

But, is this newest technology actually to your benefit?

Maybe or maybe not.

One thing is for sure with every new technology comes a new exploit.

Phone manufacturers may tout that their newest tech is safe, secure, etc but that is just plain and simply 'marketing' jargon, a lie, or to put it in legal terms; deceptive and misleading conduct.

The newest way of tracking people 24/7 will be via phones that do not have a physical SIM card but this new technology called eSIM.

The phone manufacturers may stated that the eSIM card might be able to be turned off, BUT in reality it can be turned on remotely.

You can turn something on if it's not physically there, like when your remove a SIM card, for privacy purposes.

Apple and Google have baked in new spying 'technology' within their respective operating systems with the use of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth scanning.

This cannot be turned off, irrespective of what you are told, where the only way to deal with it is to 'de-Google' your phone (remove the OEM's spyware attached to the baseline version of Android called AOSP), which some phone manufacturers allow this, but in the case of Apple's iPhones if you want a more private solution, then selling that phone is the first step.

We do not recommend to making the switch to eSIM (electronic Subscriber Identity Module) phones.

An Australian family was cheated out of their live saving by a hacker, using an eSIM as the 'excuse'.

While the hack may not have originated from the actual eSIM, it's another attack surface that can be exploited, and will be in the future by hackers.

From the beginning, mobile communications given to the masses were not secure/private.

Inherently or rather deliberately by design GSM protocols where made with 'backdoors' in mind, so that authorities can gain access to the target's phone.

Intel deliberately coded in a 'backdoor' into the core of its CPUs so that authorities could gain  undetected and unfettered access to your personal computer, something which was not detected for many years.

In relation to the newest hack, as usual corporations involved denounce responsibility, blame each other in a confusing legal mess that is made deliberately difficult or expensive for the average 'consumer' to obtain a remedy.

Disabling internet transactions on your card/account is another way to thwart thieves.

'Update' to Windows 11?

VERY briefly,

So the software manufacturer tells you that you must update your operating system to Windows version 11 from whatever other version of Windows you are using.

So what are you actually updating?

A more 'modern' UI (User interface)?

Rubbish!

Arguably, one of the best user interfaces was the one within Windows 7, with the Aero/Glass look for menus, program windows etc.

Then when users 'updated' to Windows 8, Micro$oft said that the new interface was a more 'modern' approach, but in reality it was a lie.

The 'simple' theme combination was so that the newer less powerful tablets could display menus in a relatively short time frame, something that would not be possible with the Windows 7 interface.

You must have the latest version of Windows as it more secure?

Well that's very arguable point, which for the purpose of this post will not be discussed.

One reason that you 'must' update your Windows version is to generate a multi billion revenue stream for M$.

M$ can make the older versions of Windows 'secure' quite cheaply, but chooses not to.

Another reason for you to update your version of Windows is something that M$ does NOT talk about and want you (the home user) to know about is data collection or something called telemetry.

One of THE most important things (to M$) your 'updating' is M$'s telemetry on you.

With every new version of Windows, M$ embeds more data gathering programs into the operating system where they become harder to remove with each new version.

Irrespective of whether you're a corporation or a home user, the use of Windows 11 is not recommended for quite some time.

The time frame depends on when hacking and network security programmers have isolated all the telemetry actions within Windows 11 that can be counteracted or even extinguished, where a couple of years would easily not be out of the normal.

In the meantime products like WPD (Privacy dashboard for Windows), Dism++, O&OShtUp10, and a modified hosts file and firewall would be recommended to keep more of your private information from M$ servers, with regards to your non-Windows 11 PC.

Telegram is anything but secure; even Facebook is safer, says Signal founder

Telegram has earned a growing reputation for being the somewhat hippie, and as some may think, safer alternative of WhatsApp or Messenger—something on par with the Signal app, although perhaps better known. However, Telegram's reputation for offering any level of additional cybersecurity is overly exaggerated—a fact emphasized by Signal's own founder, Moxie Marlinspike, this week.

Marlinspike took to dishing out some heavy criticism on what is one of Signal's biggest competitors, by bashing the popular notion that Telegram offers anything in the way of end-to-end encryption. Messages sent through Telegram are stored on Telegram's servers in their original form, or plain text, without going any sort of encryption to protect private user data, shared Marlinspike.

He went on to say that in this regard, even Facebook's Messenger and WhatsApp offer greater privacy than Telegram. Both of these apps, run by the company now rebranded as Meta, offer at least end-to-end encryption for all text messages sent through their platforms. 

Telegram stores all the data ever sent through the app in its cloud, in a completely exposed format: texts, shared media, contacts, everything is essentially free game for anyone who cares to look.

This is a reality that's considered unacceptable even by Facebook's standards, which is known for its lack of care when it comes to personal privacy online. Even Messenger offers the minimum standard end-to-end encryption protocol for data stored on its servers. However, anyone with access to Telegram's serves has direct access to the entire database of users' unprotected data. 

As Winfuture (who first reported on this) words it, the Telegram app is essentially an open window into the servers storing all the history that ever was on the platform, rendering everything visible to the private user just as visible to the server operators on the other side, requiring zero extra effort for direct access.

The point being, if anyone such as a hacker, or even an authority that has you under suspicion, has any interest in spying on your personal messages in Telegram, they could easily do so. Moxie Marlinspike isn't the first to bring Telegram's false reputation and concerning methods of operation to light by any means, either. 

Thus, if there is any lingering trace of the stereotype of Telegram being any kind of "safe," it's best to dispel it once and for all; even Messenger will do you one better.

On the topic of secrecy or rather transparency in another matter, a Victorian 'court of public record' was told the the sheriff's warrants do NOT exist, where then sheriff Brendan Facey was subpoenaed to show the warrants, but the lawyers for the Sheriff's Office Victoria stated that none existed.

This is the level of fraud and deception in Australia the people are under.

Another corrupt institution is the Department of Health.

They too want keep matters secret from you!

WorkSafe (VWA), demanded late last year that the Department of Health hand over the personal information of guests, staff and security guards at the Rydges Hotel Carlton and the Stamford Hotel Melbourne – the source of the called outbreaks that allegedly seeded Victoria’s second wave.

As the department pushed for the case to be suppressed, documents reveal that Marcus Hoyne, acting for VWA, ­argued the court should not ­assist the public being misled.

Small Business Australia, whose members have been ­ordered to ensure patrons check in using the QR codes, said the revelation is “another example of why trust in the Victorian government is at an all-time low”.

“They say one thing, do another and then spend as much taxpayer money as they can in the courts in an effort to cover up their deceit,” executive ­director Bill Lang said.

“Victorians deserve a government that is truthful, does what it says it will do and operates with integrity, not a government that blatantly and actively deceives and then uses every mechanism at its disposal to hide the truth from the public.”

Victorian premier Daniel Michael Andrews is a serial liar, and as a result he must be removed from office.
